#3 ICONIC(S)
Ten fictional characters to illustrate the Be Relax attitude?
We dug, and this is what we came up with:
Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn) in Breakfast at Tiffany's
Why? Because she wears an eye mask to sleep.
At Be Relax, we like those. A lot!
No other way to get your beauty sleep on a plane.
Joan in TV series Mad Men
Q: Gadget Expert in James Bond movies
Why? If you've ever tried one of our auto-massaging machines, you know how fond we are of new technology.
The entire staff of beauty salon Si Belle,
in Lebanese director Nadine Labaki's film CARAMEL
Why? Because giving such a heartwarming portrait of multiculturalism through the life of a beauty salon, set in multilingual Beirut, is the best idea ever.
Plus, we relate!
Why? Because when we wish you a pleasant journey as you leave our stores, we're really thinking "may the force be with you".

Corto Maltese, Hugo Pratt's rebellious sailor
Why ? Because he never stops travelling, and never loses his cool. You can tell by the way he gazes at the horizon: the key to successful travelling is Keep Calm and Be Relax.
Joan in TV series Mad MenWhy? She takes CHILL to a whole new level. We're pretty sure if she came to the airport, she'd head calmly towards an auto-massaging armchair and lie down with not a care in the world!

The entire medical team on M.A.S.H
Why? Because they keep cool while the world around them is hectic. We like to think of ourselves as a haven of calm amidst airport rush.
Viv' (Julia Roberts) in Pretty Woman
Why? If we didn't believe that taking care of yourself is fun, like she obviously does on this picture, we wouldn't be working in this business!
The women in Piet Mondrian's Evolutie (1910)
Why? Because they illustrate well-being as a state of mind, and because they're blue, like our boutiques.
Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean
Why? Because he has a compass that points to what he wants most in the world, and we believe that where it TRULY points is towards a Be Relax store. Why? Because when we wish you a pleasant journey as you leave our stores, we're really thinking "may the force be with you".

#2 A TIMELY TASTE OF THE OCEAN ?
As part of a free event we organised in Paris Airport CDG, we finally got to test the subversive Fish Pedicure that everyone is talking about.
Needless to say, everyone at the office was very excited. First of all, our teams really like trying out new stuff, and this experiment sounded like it would be a riot. Hundreds of fish eating the dead skin on your feet as you sit on a chair that ressembles a shiny modern throne? Definitely qualifies as fun.
My first impression, as organizer of this event, was mainly how tiny the fish were! There were about 100 of them in each chair. I was freaking out at the thought that they might die overnight, and leave me with a bucket full of belly-up floating cadavers... Thankfully, the Garra Rufa are tough little cookies. Plus, with all the passengers trying them out, I realised they were probably eating more than my family over Thanksgiving, Christmas and July 4th combined.
Thank you to the young lady on these pictures and her father for allowing us to take pictures of this! If you happen to stumble across this blog, shoot us a mail so we can send them to you.
#1 POSTCARD MEETS SELF-PORTRAIT
Taking pictures of your feet is the ultimate metaphor for freedom and vacation: the auto-proclamation of your very, very, very relaxed self on holiday.
Sun is shining, weather is sweet: it's time to spread out your toes in the open!
Truthfully, you'll be scratching your feet on rocks, burning them in hot sand, getting them all dusty on beach paths, twisting that little toe against a table, ruining them all day long, shivering as they enter the sea for the first time... and yet before it's over, you will want to take a picture of them.
At Be Relax, when we take care of your feet, whether you're on your way to holidays or on your way back, we think of that picture.
